There was a Communion Service at Helensburgh URC on Sunday 6th June at 11:00. Here is an unedited recording of the morning service.

Due to Argyll & Bute entering Level 1 on Saturday 5th June it was possible to resume congregational singing. The congregation kept their masks on whilst singing and avoided singing too loudly to reduce aerosol projection. Our Choir and instrumentalists will be allowed to sing and play again too – watch out for updates on this.

On Sunday, 9th May, two in-person services were held at HURC to mark the start of Christian Aid Week (10th-16th May). At 11:00am our regular morning service focussing on Christian Aid and in the evening at 6:30pm we hosted a joint Christian Aid service for the churches of the Helensburgh area. You can make a donation online for Christian Aid. We were able to meet ecumenically online during Holy Week but this was the first in-person local ecumenical gathering in well over a year.

Here is a recording of the HURC morning service.

We gathered for public Morning Worship at Helensburgh URC on Sunday 2nd May at 11:00am for a morning communion service. Those attending were asked to bring a piece of bread. Although we cannot share bread and wine for communion, as we might have done in the past, we can break break together with each of us eating our own piece. Those attending at home, via Zoom, were asked to do likewise. The service was broadcast using the regular Zoom link (available from your Church Secretary or the Minister) and this recording is for those who were unable to attend.

We met again in this evening at 6:30pm via Zoom for an online celebration of communion.
